After months of hard work and preparation, Shelter Movers Waterloo Region (SMWR) is ready to launch and start serving clients in the Waterloo Region!
Our chapter coordinates with partner agencies in order to provide moving and storage services to women and children fleeing abuse at no cost. As Waterloo is one of the most multi-cultural and diverse regions in Ontario, SMWR will also be coordinating with agencies to provide translational services to meet the needs of all clientele in an appropriate manner.
Shelter Movers relies on many dedicated volunteers in order to help survivors and their children transition to a life free from violence. To ensure we are able to provide services to everyone in need, we are eager to recruit new volunteers, especially movers and drivers. If you would like to contribute to the chapter, and make a lasting impact in the community, please apply here.
SMWR also relies on donations and partnerships with local agencies in order to operate. Our chapter is incredibly grateful for all of the amazing support that the Waterloo community has provided so far.
