“Shelter Movers Vancouver is built on the belief that safety is a collective responsibility. Since opening in 2018, we have grown a volunteer powered network across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley, connecting more than 130 volunteers with community agencies, local businesses and safety partners across 19 municipalities. Together, we have completed over 1,700 moves for more than 800 adults, 1,300 children and nearly 200 pets. These numbers reflect a community that has learned how to respond when someone needs support: with coordination, care and the practical resources to move what matters.
Our chapter does not work alone. We work in close partnership with the organizations survivors already know and trust, helping ensure that moving and storage are not another barrier in an already complex process. Shelter Movers Vancouver is community in motion, translating trust into practical support when it is needed most.”
