This year, more than any other has shown us that our homes have never been more important.
Our mission at Shelter Movers is to ease the transition from an abusive home to a safe one. Our partner, Mortgage Professionals of Canada Foundation, also shares this goal. Their purpose is focused on improving shelter and housing needs in Canada.
The Mortgage Professional of Canada Foundation is striving to be a “conduit to the mortgage industry to help improve our society through charitable activities.” In an interview between Joe Pinheiro, the founder of the foundation, and Shelter Movers’ founder, Marc Hull-Jacquin, the two discuss the need for safe housing, why the foundation decided to support Shelter Movers, and how this issue affects its members on a local and personal level. They look at the effect COVID-19 has had on the housing and mortgage industry, as well as the ability to just be able to pick up and move during a pandemic.
While we can’t predict the future, both agree that they think the increased need for our service will continue. Especially should there be a second wave. Without the support of our partners, we wouldn’t be able to provide our services, and for that we thank you.
